Q: Why Stay In Mareeba?

A: Mareeba is just 1-hour from Cairns and central to all Atherton Tablelands features and attractions including the crater lakes, waterfalls, natural rainforest and coffee plantations. It has 300 sunny days a year and is an affordable destination. It’s the gateway to the Savannah Way Drive and outback Australia.

Q: Where is Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: Mareeba Bush Stays is located at 110 Paglietta Road Mareeba, North Queensland. The property is accessed via bitumen roads and is well sign-posted.

Q: How much does it cost to stay at Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: $10.00 for a single person / per night (unpowered) which covers parking on the property, use of the approved dump point and communal fire pit. $15 for doubles per night. Advance bookings are NOT required and payment is in cash please. Powered sites are $25 per night per site,

Q: What facilities does Mareeba Bush Stays offer?

A: 50 acres of dedicated parking area with no individual spaces marked or allocated, giving you the flexibility to choose your preferred location to maximize your view, access and privacy.
Approved dump point and communal fire pit.
Cleared bush walks, allowing you to explore the pristine bushland
Two (2) freshwater dams with fish and redclaw
Toilet and shower available if needed

Please note: No swimming pool, cafe or restaurant convenience store or petrol station on site.

A: Yes it is. Mareeba Bush Stays welcomes your pet.

Q: What might and I see and do at Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: The 150 acre property is a nature wildlife corridor which is positioned on top of a ridge.
It has two (2) dams stocked with red claw and fish
offers panoramic views over the surrounding hills and plains.
You might see a range of a special plants and animals, all native to the environment, and you are welcome to try your hand at fishing in the dams.

Q: Is there management on site at Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: Yes there is.

Q: Where is the closest town with shops and stores?

A: Mareeba is 8km away. Mareeba has petrol stations, a solar man, supermarkets (Coles is open until 9pm weekdays and 5pm weekends), cafes and restaurants, medical centre and pharmacy, a garbage dump and all other ‘conveniences’ you may be looking for.

Q: What are the closest attractions to Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: Granite Gorge and Coffee Works Mareeba are both within a 5-minute drive from Mareeba Bush Stays. Mareeba itself is 8km away and Cairns is about an hours drive.

Q: Are the roads sealed at Mareeba Bush Stays?

A: Not in the park, we have gravel roads. Chewko and Paglietta Roads are bitumen and Mareeba Bush Stays has three wide bitumen driveways on to the property. The bush walks are cleared tracks, suitable for people and pets, not vehicles.
